Randall Ogans

Randall Ogans, has been part of the Sacramento community for over 20 years. As a community leader who is passionate about Black history, he's played a pivotal role in amplifying the message and accomplishments of African-American musicians, speakers, academics, athletes and activities for the better part of two decades helping to organize or facilitate events throughout Northern California. 

In his role as executive producer of the Black History Month for University of the Pacific, he has led many efforts for university stakeholders to engage with the greater community through many events including the Juneteenth event held at the Black Expo in Sacramento this past summer. For over 20 years, he has produced the month-long Black History Celebration at Pacific that has featured a wide variety of nationally and internationally acclaimed, artists, speakers and athletes including Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Common, Anthony Hamilton, Dr. Melba Beals, Lauren Ridloff, Dr. Cornel West, Chuck D, Soledad O'Brien, Angela Rye, and many more.  In collaboration with other community partners, he has been involved in bringing talent for concerts, conferences and virtual events including actresses Christina Elmore, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Jennifer Lewis, Tiffany Haddish and US Olympian Allyson Felix.  Social justice activists Dr. Angela Davis, Dr. Yusef Salaam and Raymond Santana (Exonerated 5) and attorney Paul Butler have also been featured at events Randall facilitated.  On the gospel scene, Randall has produced or co-produced concerts featuring Travis Greene, Jamie Grace, Geoffrey Golden, the Clark Sisters, Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Red Hands Band, Todd Dulaney, Tye Tribbett, JJ Hairston, Maranda Curtis, Anita Wilson, Jonathan McReynolds, Marvin Sapp and Leon Timbo. He has also partnered with various healthcare related agencies to host community health fairs in underserved communities across Northern California and the Central Valley.
